Farmers Daughter Restaurant
The Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant has the type of comfort food that’s becoming harder and harder to find in one location. We’re talking home cooked breakfast, lunch, dinner & desserts – the quadfecta of homecooking. They say they “make everything from scratch including homemade pies, breakfast dishes, soups, dinners and more.” Sides include fried tomatoes, battered and fried green beans and pickles. They’re serving up big hearty breakfast plates including one call The Hog Log – you heard me – sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, rolled in a flour tortilla smothered with sausage gravy.
Breakfast is great but lunch and dinner are even better because of what they describe as Southern Style Fried Chicken – marinated chicken tossed in their own special seasoning is placed in a pressure fryer resulting in what they describe as “moist, tender, mouth-wathering fried chicken”.
But the real reason Farmer’s Daughter rises above all others is because their dessert board often includes not 1, not 2 but all 3 favorites: homemade sugar cream pie, butterscotch pie and Texas sheet cake. Can that be real?
